現地時間10月1日午後10時にアメリカのラスベガスにて起きた凄惨な銃撃事件で世界中が悲しみに暮れてから1日が経過した。
今日現在で59名が死亡、527名以上が負傷するという米国史上最悪の銃撃事件は、事件当日の映像がテレビやネットで公開されており、銃弾がどこから飛んでくるかわからずにその場に伏せたり、逃げ惑う人々の姿を見て多くの人が恐怖を感じたのではないだろうか。
カントリー音楽祭の会場にて犯人が自動小銃を乱射したという今回の事件だが、今年の5月にはイギリスのマンチェスターにて行われたAriana Grande(アリアナ・グランデ)のコンサート会場での自爆テロなど、人が集まる音楽会場を狙った卑劣な事件には怒りしか感じない。こういった事件が無くなる事は望むのは当然だが、アーティスト側やファンも自粛するのではなく、皆が結束して一つになり、音楽の力でより大きな力を手に入れて欲しいと感じる。
私もこのサイトから犠牲者にはお祈りを捧げ、そしてこのような事件が無くなる事を心から願いたいと思います。
